Group Therapy
Healing Through Connection
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation — it unfolds in relationship. Group therapy at In-Sight Transformative Therapy Group offers a unique opportunity to experience connection in real time. Within the safety of a supportive and attuned community, you can explore your inner world, experiment with new ways of relating, and discover the healing power of authentic contact.

Why Group Therapy
Many of our struggles — shame, fear, loneliness, or disconnection — are relational at their core. While individual therapy helps us understand ourselves, group therapy lets us practice new ways of being with others.
In group work, we explore how we show up in relationships — how we seek closeness, protect ourselves, or withdraw. Each interaction becomes an opportunity to increase awareness, strengthen self-support, and cultivate the capacity for presence and vulnerability.
Our groups are guided by the belief that healing happens through connection — through being seen, heard, and accepted as we truly are.

Our Approach
All groups at In-Sight are grounded in Relational Gestalt principles, field theory, and trauma-informed care. We attend to both individual experience and the relational field that emerges within the group.
Sessions are experiential rather than purely discussion-based; participants are encouraged to notice what’s happening moment to moment — in the body, in emotion, and in relationship.
Our therapists create a safe and respectful environment where you can:
-
Explore relational patterns and emotional boundaries.
-
Practice vulnerability and authentic expression.
-
Develop compassion for yourself and others.
-
Experience belonging and support through shared humanity.

Types of Groups Offered
We offer both process-oriented and theme-focused groups throughout the year, including:
-
Trauma and Resilience Groups — integrating somatic and relational awareness to restore safety and self-trust.
-
Men’s Groups — exploring vulnerability, intimacy, and authentic masculinity in a supportive space.
-
Addiction and Recovery Groups — understanding addictive patterns as creative adjustments and pathways toward reconnection.
-
Integrating the Disowned Self — working with internal antagonists and parts of the self that resist contact or closeness.
-
Professional Development and Supervision Groups — for clinicians seeking experiential learning within a Gestalt and trauma-informed framework.
Each group is small and intentionally facilitated to maintain depth, safety, and meaningful interaction.
The Power of the Group Field
In group therapy, the room becomes a living laboratory of relationships. Emotions that feel overwhelming alone can be held collectively; defenses that once protected can soften in the presence of understanding. The group field becomes a place where healing is not only possible but shared — where empathy replaces isolation and curiosity replaces judgment.
